French toast with strawberry and ricotta filling

Soft, butter-toasted sliced bread pairs with a refreshing strawberry and creamy ricotta filling, while the aroma of cinnamon adds a special cozy touch.
You will need

Sliced sandwich bread, 500 gBuy
- 150 g ricotta
- 100 g strawberries
- 2 eggs
- 60 ml milk
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Butter for frying
Method
- Chop the strawberries into small pieces and mix with the ricotta.
- Spread the filling on two slices of bread and cover with the remaining slices.
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs with the milk, sugar, and cinnamon.
- Dip the prepared toasts in the egg mixture on both sides.
- Melt butter in a pan and cook the toasts over medium heat for 2–3 minutes per side, until nicely golden.
- When serving, dust with powdered sugar or serve with honey or maple syrup!
